Henesey is a puzzle. She wants to love, but she can’t quite. Not right away. She seems to follow this set of guidelines:
1. Ignore her, and she’ll be your friend.
2. When with other dogs, she needs to be the alpha.
3. These rules change when treats are introduced. Henesey loves treats.
Henesey was raised, and gets along with, dogs her size — which is about 60 pounds. She would prefer a quiet home with no cats. Kids are OK as long as they are older and know how to be calm around dogs like her.
At only 1 year old, she’s ready for stability in her life. She is house-trained, spayed and up to date on her vaccines. You can visit her at PAWS of Grays Harbor, 800 W. First St., Aberdeen. They are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Thursdays from 2 to 5 p.m. You can also visit PAWS online at www.pawsgh.org, find them on Facebook or Instagram, or call 360-533-1141. Adopters who are 55 and older receive a 20% discount on adoption fees.
