Harbor high school artists receive awards

Two high school artists from Grays Harbor County won awards and scholarships in this year’s High School Art Show for the Capital Region Educational Service District.

Joshua Allen Farrar, a student at Aberdeen High School, won a regional award for two of his pieces: “Ford Mustang with Jet Engines” and “Classic.” As one of 13 regional winners, he will go on to the state-level high school art show at the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. He also received a $1,000 scholarship to Central Washington University.

Stormie Bauer, a student at Elma High School, also won a $1,000 CWU scholarship for her piece, titled “Say Cheese.”
