On Sunday afternoon, the Grayland Players will present their holiday show: “’Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

In author Ken Ludwig’s one-act play, one mouse is in fact stirring on Christmas Eve — and he takes an elf and a young girl on quite an adventure.

Cast members are Jeff Ryser, Matthew Wyland, Alexandria Mathews, Jim White, Marji Thoma and Preslie Bishop. Singing in the Elf Chorus are Ethan McKinney, Jesse Diles, Jarrod Diles, Gerald Whightman, Thomas Burger, Oliver Aguayo and Angel Aguayo.

After the play, families may spend time with Santa. Refreshments will include gingerbread with whipped cream and candy cane sprinkles; pumpkin bars; and gluten-free treats. Apple cider, coffee and soda also will be served.

Also that afternoon, winners will be recognized in Grayland’s annual Gingerbread House Competition. Cash prizes will be awarded in various categories and age groups. Some of the houses will be auctioned off to audience members to benefit the Community Hall.

In addition, there will be a raffle, with items donated by local businesses and individuals. Tickets are $2 each. Prizes include a sport-fishing trip from Deep Sea Charters, an Opal Art Glass hand-blown glass float and many other items.

The show will begin Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Grayland Community Hall. There is no charge for admission, but donations will be graciously accepted.
