Grays Harbor College’s Theatre Arts Department is holding communitywide auditions next week for its Ten-Minute Play Festival.

The festival will spotlight original short plays by GHC students during the winter quarter for English 243, “Playwriting,” in conjunction with the Creative Writing student group. They will cover a range of compelling themes and narratives.

Producer Andrew Gaines is seeking men and women ages 16 to 80 to act in the 10-minute plays, which will be performed and directed by a combination of students, alumni, faculty and community members.

Auditions will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday and at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Bishop Center for the Performing Arts. No advance preparation is required.

Play rehearsals will begin the following Monday, April 15, and the festival will be presented May 9-11 at the Bishop Center.
