Eugene Ballet staging ‘Mowgli’ at Bishop Center

The Eugene Ballet Co. brings the tales of Rudyard Kipling to life.

“Mowgli, the Jungle Book Ballet” will be presented this evening at the Bishop Center for the Arts.

The Eugene Ballet Co. brings the tales of Rudyard Kipling to life with fanciful costumes, masks, magical sets and world music.

The show, sponsored by Bruce and Bette Worth, follows the jungle adventures of Mowgli as he makes friends with Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther, and battles Shere Khan the tiger and Kaa the snake.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors, $12 for students and $10 for children 12 and younger. They are available at www.ghc.edu/bishop, or at the door.

The curtain rises at 7:30 p.m. at the Bishop Center, at 1620 Edward P. Smith Drive, on the Grays Harbor College campus in Aberdeen.
