Leonard and Delores Young, who have lived in Aberdeen since 1955, celebrated 70 years of marriage on Sept. 9 with a dinner at the Westport Winery. Guests came from Colorado, New Mexico and Spokane.

Leonard was born and raised in Aberdeen and worked for ITT Rayonier for 32 years.

Delores grew up on the East Coast and was employed by JC Penney for 20 years.

After retirement, they have enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

They had three children — Suzanne Graves of Snohomish and the late Robert Young and Jeanne Brecht.
