We need to work together

Sadly, many who are able to help our homeless neighbors, but won’t, assume they’re all addicts to drugs and alcohol and too lazy to work.

It’s time to take a closer look how widespread this problem is.

As needs grow, community resources dwindle trying to fill those needs.

One such resource on overload is the Union Gospel Mission in Aberdeen. Daily, ever increasing numbers of the hungry and those in need of a safe haven come to the mission.

It’s time for us Americans to begin working together again as we did during World War II to alleviate the suffering of so many.
