On Sept. 14, I took about 600 pounds of clothing for the entire families along with a whole bunch of shoes, down to Eugene, Oregon, in support of those affected by the forest fires.
I went down 101 to Florence and spent Monday night, then down to Eugene on Tuesday, unloaded at the Masonic Lodge across from Austin Stadium.
You should have seen all the supplies there.
Three young fellers unloaded my car for me and could not believe where I came from. Many thanks were sent our way.
Thanks to Weyerhaeuser sawmill workers for their support as well as Steve Wood, Robert Andrews, my cousin Jeannie Dilk, niece Jodi Emery, Dave Gentile, Herb Herrick, Kasey Bielec and his two daughters, Lucy and Barbra.
