Dear Editor,

We would like to thank everyone who came to our Auction and Chili Feed fundraiser. A special thank-you to the businesses and friends who contributed baskets, gift certificates and the wonderful desserts that were auctioned off. Because of the generous donations, no expenses were incurred and all of the money raised went directly to the American Cancer Society toward research, offering information and education, and providing rides, lodging and support to cancer patients.

Also, thank you to the media for airing our event on the radio and The Daily World and Vidette for the notices in the papers.

Our team will be walking the Relay for Life on July 25 at the Shoppes at Riverside from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.. Come join us in walking for a cure.

And, from a personal thought: Thanks so much for still publishing the paper — there’s been so much great info from years past and similarities to today’s pandemic. Great articles on things and people in the community.
