Shut out

Editor’s note: It’s rare when The Daily World runs letters from anonymous senders, but this is a rare time and this voice from the community is worth sharing.

How are people who don’t have a house or apartment to live in supposed to stay healthy when the YMCA is closed for showers and any laundromats are closed, so we can no longer wash clothes, so they are clean to wear? All these officials don’t have to worry about any of that. They have all the things they need. People that are homeless or live in cars still need to do these things, but are shut out. No longer any public places open to us to stay healthy and clean.

The slogan: “We are all in this together” is meaningless and not true for some of us. We are forgotten, left out, ignored and shut out. Only for the people that have things and money is there consideration. Otherwise, less than zero. Totally excluded and “a nobody.”
