I was wondering what has happened to these three words — “We the People”?
Example — car tabs initiative. It went on the ballot. We voted. It passed. Now the powers that be in the almighty King County-Seattle area (the cement jungle) hired some judge and greased his palm to put a hold on it passing.
Is it a wonder that people like myself ask, “Does it even matter if I vote anymore?”
It doesn’t seem to matter. Maybe all ballots should be sent to the big city, Seattle, the stone jungle.
I don’t understand. When something is voted in — that should be it.
I guess there is no more “We the People.”
I guess the Constitution should read “We the King County.”
Sad.
