Don’t hold back Covid info

In the Sept. 19 Daily World, we learned that the Covid rates continue to climb in Grays Harbor County and the county rate is more than double the Covid rate than the rest of the State. On Sept. 24, we had the seventh death.

We are told that most of the current rise in cases have been “… attributed to outbreaks at several businesses, including some nursing homes.” But what does that mean?

We can’t learn what businesses are affected, yet everyone in this country shops at local businesses. Every day we go to grocery stores, drug stores, car repairs, post offices to name a few. How does the county handle businesses that have active cases? Are they temporarily closed and people quarantined? Are recent customers informed? Are business employees mandated to wear masks?

Or is nothing being done?

We hear no information or guidance from our Grays Harbor Health Department and this isn’t OK. We are all living under great anxiety and need to get more information. In reality, the county should lock down until this is under control. The only way for the economy to recover is to control the virus.

At least let us know what is being done.
