The United States is recognized by the world as the most powerful and richest country, a country of freedom, peace and serenity.

Yet across this great country, there are many homeless, many children and families starving every day with long lines at food banks.

These same problems exist on reservations as well. More so on some.

The Civil War continues today, only it is the political arena. Instead of Yankees against Rebs, it is Democrats against Republicans.

And who suffers most when disagreements bring this country to a standstill?

We were taught that when we became adults, we were to set good examples for our future generation to follow, more so when we become tribal elders as told and taught to us by our elders of the past.

Today, the number one man and leader of this country can tweet and rank down anyone he wants to, especially those who oppose him and he does not want to live up to the truths about him. What kind of example is this for the future leaders of this country to follow?

I know number one and all the politicians don’t have to worry about their next meal and have a nice warm home and bed to retire to at the end of their day.
