Six ballot drop boxes available around county

Ballot drop boxes will be available until 8 p.m. today at the following locations:

DAN HAMMOCK | GRAYS HARBOR NEWS GROUP                                Crews from Global Diving and Salvage Inc. contained the diesel fuel leaking from one or both of two vessels that sank in Hoquiam River Wednesday afternoon. As of Friday morning, the Department of Ecology Spill Response Team reported the boats were stacked one on top of the other, making removal of the fuel and the vessels themselves tricky.

Witnesses reported a noticeable sheen on the river’s surface coming from sunken vessels, located near Al’s Hum-Dinger, where two other boats have recently sunk.
