The former two-story residence — at 215 N. H St., in Aberdeen — was razed with an excavator on Tuesday afternoon, April 26, 2022. The house was demolished three days after a fire, which claimed the life of an Aberdeen man, that the Aberdeen Police Department has determined to be an act of arson. Before the structure was razed, there were a couple of standing walls and rubble that could be seen with the naked eye.

Andrew Kelly, who joined the North Beach School District (NBSD) in July 2018, will resign from his position as superintendent effective June 30, 2022. Kelly’s contract had previously been renewed through June 2025, but was ended through a mutual agreement following and investigation into information levied against that he shared with the NBSD Board of Directors. He has been on paid leave since March 13, 2022.
