The darkened alleys throughout downtown Aberdeen have been lit up in an effort to help with safety and security for people and for property. The lighting of the alleys was mentioned in part of the work the city has done to make the city safer. While the dumpsters pictured are for nearby businesses and most are locked throughout the day and night, there is still an abundance of garbage people have to pick up. The survey results showed trash is a serious concern residents have.
