The haircuts will be at his barbershop, Grayspace Barbershop — 109 N. Park St., in Aberdeen. Gee will be giving out haircuts to students who range from kindergarten to 12th grade.

Carter said he’s inspired by other musicians, so such a low-pressure environment where he can grab a caffeinated drink, a water or pop, and then play and sing with talented musicians is a real pick-me-up for him. Along with Orr and Winkelman, many other people were in attendance, including city, county and state representatives, members of the Office of Chehalis Basin, representatives from Quigg Bros, Inc., and HDR Engineering Inc. Nick Bird, engineer for the city of Aberdeen, and others powered on two of the pumps.
