Greater Grays Harbor Inc. CEO leaving for job with AWB

Greater Grays Harbor Inc. CEO Dru Garson has accepted a new job with the Association of Washington Business (AWB) to lead engagement with the AWB Grassroots Alliance, a coalition of chambers of commerce throughout Washington.

He starts his new job May 1.

“It’s been a privilege to work with such an outstanding community and organization here in Grays Harbor,” said Garson. “I am excited to take on this new role and continue to advocate on behalf of the needs of the statewide business community.”

“Dru has done an exceptional job leading Greater Grays Harbor and positioning our organization for success,” said Greater Grays Harbor Inc. Board Chair Tony Enzler. “We are incredibly proud of all the hard work and accomplishments that he has contributed over the years on behalf of Grays Harbor and wish him the best.”

Greater Grays Harbor Inc. is the regional chamber of commerce and economic development council headquartered in Aberdeen. Garson has been active in AWB’s Rural Jobs initiative and the Washington Child Care Collaborative Task Force. In 2019 he received AWB’s Advocate of the Year Award. AWB decided to hire Garson before the coronavirus situation unfolded in Washington.
