State Patrol investigators at the scene of a high-speed motorcycle wreck on Lincoln Street in Hoquiam Tuesday afternoon. The driver, identified as James Cody Stearns, 30, of Hoquiam, was ejected and struck the mailbox at the feet of the trooper, left. The bike is visible to the right of the minivan in the background. Stearns was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1:10 p.m.
