Rebecca Flint, 97, an Aberdeen resident, died May 27, 2017, in Aberdeen, Wash. She was born in Portsmouth, England, Jan. 2, 1920, the daughter of Anthony and Mary Jane (Devenny) Vassallo.
She met Clifford Flint at a dance in England and they were married there in April of 1938. They had two children, Carole and Anthony. Together they led a life that was never dull and always full of love.
After the World War II in 1947, they moved to Canada and later to San Diego, Santa Barbara, settling in Pasadena, Calif., where Mr. Flint would pass in 1978. Rebecca would come to Aberdeen in 1993, but would live in Anacortes before returning to the Harbor this last Fall.
Rebecca is survived by her daughter: Carole Hill of Montesano; five grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
At Rebecca’s request there will be no formal services.
We miss her and hope she and Clifford are enjoying a dance together again.
