John Milton Weber, 93, died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, in Lacey, Washington. John was born in Aberdeen, Dec. 30, 1928, to John B. and Helen M. Weber. He graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1947 and later attended San Francisco City College. John was also in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
In 1950, John married Mary Jeanne Philbrick of Hoquiam. They were married 65 years and enjoyed spending winters in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Mary Jeanne passed on March 30, 2016.
John worked locally as a plumber and pipe fitter and then worked 25 years at Grays Harbor PUD, retiring in 1990. John was a member of the Aberdeen Elks Lodge for over 50 years, where he played flute and piccolo in the Elks National Band. His hobbies included wood working, fishing, cutting firewood, gardening, pitching horseshoes and making fishing lures.
John is survived by daughter Terri Pearsall of Bend, Oregon; sons Mike Weber (Linda) of San Tan Valley, Arizona and Tom Weber (Julie) of Olympia, Washington; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jeanne and his brother Walter Weber.
A private graveside service will be held at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Union Gospel Mission of Grays Harbor.
