Jeanette (Graham) Myers passed away peacefully at her home in Port Ludlow on July 31, 2022.

Jeanette (Graham) Myers passed away peacefully at her home in Port Ludlow on July 31, 2022, with her four children by her side. Jeanette was born in Aberdeen, Washington to John Leroy and Josephine Louise Graham. She was a 1956 graduate of Weatherwax High School, graduated from Grays Harbor Junior College in 1958 and Western Washington University in 1960.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband Alexander “Sandy,” her parents Roy and Josephine, her sister Carolyn Dineen and her brother, Gordon Graham. She is survived by her son Alexander “Lex,” daughters Diane Harris (Steve), Cheryl “Cheri” and Deborah (Tim Petersen), grandsons Armor and Archer Petersen, granddog Murphy, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Jeanette taught second grade in the Bellevue School District before moving in 1962 to the home she and her husband built on Bainbridge Island. She was instrumental in the early years of Bainbridge Cooperative Nursery School and was a founding member of Grace Episcopal Church. She was a longtime resident of Bainbridge Island before she and her husband moved to Port Ludlow. Her proudest achievement was raising her four children.

Jeanette enjoyed many travel adventures with her husband, spending time with family and friends, flower arranging, bird watching, reading mysteries, listening to music, playing board games and had recently discovered laughing yoga.

She will be remembered for her welcoming smile, her kindness and grace, her open-mindedness, her sense of humor and her willingness to try new things. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

We will celebrate her life at a memorial at 2 p.m. Aug. 27 at Grace Episcopal Church 8595 Day Road in Bainbridge Island.
