Brandon Lee Bruner

Brandon Lee Bruner was born on Sept. 14, 1973 to Connie (Carnocki) and Wiley Bruner in Aberdeen.

Brandon Lee Bruner was born on Sept. 14, 1973, to Connie (Carnocki) and Wiley Bruner in Aberdeen, Washington. From 1974, he became an instantly-loved member of the Murnen family. Our 46-year-old son, brother, husband, father, nephew, cousin and friend passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019. He was Dad to two loving daughters from a 2001 marriage to Heather Colwell, Samantha Sampson, 22, and Alexandria Bruner, 19. Brandon was best friends with his brother Brett, and fun-loving cousin to his many Bruner, Carnocki and Murnen cousins. Brandon was known to be a big-hearted, generous friend to all he met.

A 1993 graduate of Weatherwax High School in Aberdeen, Brandon participated in track, baseball, golf and band. He attended Grays Harbor College for one year and Bellingham Technical College. In the early 1990s Brandon’s love of boats and water sports from many summers with family at Hood Canal, Puget Sound and Camp Bishop led him to be an active member in the Aberdeen YMCA and becoming a Camp Bishop counselor for several years. He also enjoyed softball, golf and bike riding. A naturally mechanically inclined person, Bran enjoyed working on and was adept at operating anything that had a motor or a frame with wheels. Bran’s good hands kept him employed for many years at three Les Schwab Tire locations, at Paneltech Overlays & Saturated Medias and Northwest Belt.

Brandon is survived by his daughters Samantha Sampson of Aberdeen, Alexandria Bruner of Bellingham, parents Connie (David) Murnen of Hoquiam and Wiley (Susan) Bruner of Kelso; brothers Brett Bruner of Aberdeen, Devon and Johnny Bruner both of Kelso; sister Jordana Bruner of Los Angeles, California; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of Brandon’s life is being planned and will be announced when details become available.
