Please join us for a celebration of life Saturday, March 8, 2026 at 2 p.m. at the Rotary Log Pavilion, 1401 Sargent Blvd., Aberdeen, Washington, in honor of Renee Elizabeth Sauer who passed away on Feb. 24, 2026 after her battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

Born to Katherine Perry on Jan. 9, 1955, in Kansas Renee later moved to Grays Harbor and raised her two daughters in the family home in Hoquiam. Her daughters, Victoria Zollman with three children: Parker Romero, Silvia Romero and Vivian Romero and husband Kevin Zollman of Powell Butte, Oregon and Tracy Ibabao with 1 child, Courtney Meyer-Etter and her husband Stacey Ibabao of Chehalis, Washington.

Renee moved to Chehalis in 1999 and rekindled her relationship with Ray Sauer of Grays Harbor. They were married on Oct. 31, 2003. They resided together in Onalaska. Ray brings three sons who loved her like their own, Mike Sauer of Hoquiam; Andy Sauer and wife Karissa with two children Olivia and Evelyn of Lynden, Washington; and Tynan Sauer with two children Dillon and Kylee and wife Courtney of Centralia.

Renee was extraordinarily talented at creating amazing costumes, sewing, crafting and building projects. She could create the unthinkable out of very little. She enjoyed volunteering with the city of Centralia and Chehalis in local events and parades. She was known in the family and community for stepping up to any challenge that showcased her passions.

Her other passion was helping anyone that needed it, she truly was the woman that could meet a stranger and give them anything she had and more. Her heart was kind and thoughtful.

Above all, Renee was devoted to her family. She was a loving and courageous mother to her two daughters and a very enthusiastic grandmother, teaching each one of them life lessons with wisdom, humor and a little of the wildfire she carried.

Renee is survived by her husband, Ray Sauer and her brother, Warren Perry whom she a shared a special bond and closeness from day one.She was preceded in death by her sister, Colleen Cheever and brother Patrick Perry proceed her in passing.

Her loving memory, likeness and legacy will live on through her two affectionate daughters, Victoria Katrina Zollman and Tracy Mae McCullough Ibabao and their adoring children.
