Longtime Hoquiam resident Frank Harold Bedell passed away at home on Dec. 18, 2025.

He was born to Frank Bedell Sr. and Helga Bedell on Aug. 23, 1946, in Fresno, California. Helga later married Art Koski and the family moved to the Bellevue area. After high school, Frank joined the Army and served in the Vietnam War.

As he approached retirement, Frank enjoyed time at his canal-front home in Ocean Shores while selling real estate under the RE/MAX brand. He also served for a time on the Ocean Shores Park Board. Frank retired to his Burrows Road property, where he lived the last 25 years. He was known to be a buyer and seller of things unique and collectible, mostly cars and motorcycles.

Frank participated in his Neighborhood Watch group, and gathered with neighbors to watch football games. Not long ago, he traveled to Alaska for a fishing trip with friends. Frank often was blessed at Thanksgiving and Christmas with a holiday meal or treats from ladies in the neighborhood. He would repay the kindness with a bouquet of flowers.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and several cousins. He leaves cousins Ron Kero, Patty McGuire and Katy Pasini, numerous other cousins and his Burrows Road friends.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Fern Hill Funeral Home, and interment will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue (date to be determined).
