Lester E. Weakley
Lester Eugene Weakley, a lifetime resident of Hoquiam, died Friday, June 23, 2017, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 86.
He had a 25-year career with the Hoquiam Fire Department, retiring as Battalion Chief in 1978. He was a licensed electrician and had driven oil delivery truck for Lawrence and Macan.
Donations are suggested to the Josephine Olsen Memorial Fund through the Hoquiam Fire Department.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 26, at the Hoquiam Senior Center.
Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
Kathreen Fichtner
A service for Aberdeen resident Kathreen Fichtner, who died May 16, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at the Hoquiam Methodist Church with a reception to follow.
Arrangements were by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
James Moyer
James L. Moyer, age 88, a lifetime resident of Hoquiam, died Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam.
After serving in the U.S. Navy, he returned to Hoquiam where he had worked as a glazier for Root Paint &Glass for 18 years, then Bayview Glass for 21 years, retiring in 1988.
A private urn committal will be held at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park.
Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
Lawrence C. Swanson
Lawrence Carl Swanson, 76 years of age and a longtime Harborite, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at his home in Hoquiam following an extended illness. He was 76.
He had been a diesel mechanic.
Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
Geraldine F. Smith
Geraldine Faye Smith of Ocean Shores died Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 90.
Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
