Mary Ellen Loveless, 70, a long-time Hoquiam and Elma resident, died in Portland on April 17, 2026. Mary attended Weatherwax High School, worked at Grays Harbor Paper until 1992, and retired in 2004 from the Career Transition Center.
Mary was preceded in death by her partner, Byron Philbrick; parents, Clarence and Ruth Edmondson; and brother, Clarence Jr. She is survived by her children, Jerry Loveless and Julie Hyde; grandson, Anthony Hyde; sisters, Sue Wood, Barb McCourt, Linda Kingsbury and Dee Graham, and brother, Ken Edmondson.
A gathering will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at ShuJacks in Elma. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, noon to 5 p.m. at Aberdeen’s Stewart Memorial Park. Speeches and stories at 2 p.m.
