Born Charla Mae Hall was born on Jan. 6,1942, in Aberdeen, Washington and passed away peacefully at the age of 84 in San Diego, California on July 14, 2026.

Charla was the daughter of the late Charles and Helan Hall of Central Park, Washington.

Charla was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.

She is survived by her sister Judy Blake of Westport, Washington, daughters: Rosemarie (David) Nielsen of Monroe, Washington; Jeri Burgett of San Diego, California, and Joni (Karl) Spitzer of Rocklin, California, six grandchildren: Kaylin Duggins, Geena Burgett, Jules Nielsen, Zoe Nielsen, Lily Nielsen and Ziggy Nielsen, three great-grandchildren, and nephews Brady, Brian and Bruce Blake.

She was a generous and giving person who was always there for her family and friends. Charla loved her secret garden and adored her one-eyed cat Loli. Charla enjoyed traveling, working in her garden, doing family genealogy research, spending time with her family and being in the moment with her poetry.

Charla will be greatly missed by her family and all who were blessed to know her and will be waiting for us in heaven. Charla will be laid to rest with her mom and dad at Fern Hill at a private service. Charla and her family appreciate our friends’ thoughts and prayers.

Autumn leaves of red and gold

Cling to branches they cannot hold

They ride in the wind up and down

The last chance of life

Plays to the ground
