In Loving Memory ofTimothy ‘Tim’ Gerald Morgan
Published July 4, 2026
On June 11, 2026, Timothy “Tim” Gerald Morgan passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family in Kirkland, after a courageous seven-month battle with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. From the beginning of his fight, Tim lived by the words “Never give up,” and he remained true to that motto until his final day.
Tim was born the fourth child to Thomas A. Morgan on Kathryn Geraldine (Revello) Morgan on June 12, 1961, in Aberdeen. He attended Aberdeen schools and graduated from J.M. Weatherwax High School in 1980, before continuing his education at Grays Harbor College.
Tim participated in local Little League and Babe Ruth in his youth and later, slow pitch where he was “The Turbo.” He worked a variety of jobs in Grays Harbor including a number of years at Spoon Automotive. He later moved to Seattle where he built a successful, 33-year career with Covich Williams, a commercial marine fuel dock and petroleum distributor and outside salesman.
Standing 6’4”, Tim had a larger-than-life personality and made many lifelong friends who shared his interests including boating, golfing, and occasional trips to Las Vegas.
His love of boating earned him the fitting nickname of “Captain Morgan.”
Family meant a lot to Tim and some of his greatest joys were his daughter Sylena and grandson Bentley who called him “Poppa.”
Although Tim was a fun-loving guy, his deepest happiness was when he met the love of his life — Megan. On Dec. 15, 2024, Tim and Megan were married at Snoqualmie Falls with their blended families present. Tim and Megan filled their short time together, making new memories, fun adventures and good times.
One of Tim’s proudest moments was traveling to Montana to attend his daughter Sylena’s marriage in September 2025. Tim hoped to leave others with a simple but heart-felt reminder: “Love hard and live your life!”
Tim is survived by his wife Megan Morgan of Woodinville, his stepchildren Sasha and Aaron Kahn, his daughter Sylena Morgan Serghezzi, son-in-law Christopher Serghezzi, grandchildren Bentley Morgan Serghezzi and Joseph and Brinlee Serghezzi of Silverdale; his siblings ToniLee Morgan of Tumwater, Thomas E. and sister-in-law Sharon Morgan of Montesano and Tammy Morgan of Lacey and Larry Haggerty; nephew and nieces Teri (Spoon) Dryden of Kelso, Jason Spoon of Olympia, Ryan A. Stewart and Ariana Stewart, both of Tacoma and extended family and friends.
Tim will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Tim’s life is planned for Sept. 9, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo. Dress casual and bring fun stories of Tim.
