One person was airlifted on Tuesday due to burns from house fire.

Tuesday at approximately 9:36 a.m., East Grays Harbor Fire and Rescue was dispatched to mutual aid for a residential structure fire on Middle Satsop Road in District 2.

First arriving personnel indicated the structure was well involved, and that there was one patient with burn injuries.

Firefighters arrived on scene and began extinguishment efforts, while Aid 51 personnel rendered care to the patient. This multi-agency response brought resources and responders from Montesano Fire, Fire District 2, and Mason County Fire District 12.

Despite challenges from the Middle Satsop Road closure and water supply needs, the fire was brought under control. One patient was transported by Airlift Northwest for treatment.

“We’d like to thank our partners from Grays Harbor Fire District 2, Montesano Fire Department, Mason County Fire District 12, as well as Airlift Northwest and Grays Harbor – 911 Communications,” the department stated on social media.
