Mickey Joe Sisk Sr., cherished husband, father, uncle, and friend, known for his quick wit and love for a good time, who always brought laughter and light wherever he went, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at Harbor Regional Health in Aberdeen at the age of 67.
Born on May 8,1958, in Torrance, California to Charles and Jessie (Conklin) Sisk, one of seven children, Mickey and his family moved to Aberdeen, Washington at the age of 5. Mickey remained in Grays Harbor through the remainder of his life. He attended Robert Gray Elementary, Miller Jr. High, and J.M. Weatherwax High School. Mickey chose to begin working at a young age, starting at Southside Swanson’s. He went on to build a strong work ethic as a logger with Weyerhaeuser, spending a number of years in the timber industry. Eventually, he found his long-term home with Ocean Spray, where he worked faithfully for over 20 years until his retirement.
On Sept. 8, 1984, Mickey married Edna Lickiss in Aberdeen, Washington. They shared 42 years of marriage, friendship, and a love for each other, their family and life they built together.
Mickey was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was a member of the 12th Man, an avid Seahawks fan and loved NASCAR. He also enjoyed watching old westerns, gameshows, and soap operas. A gear head, car enthusiast, who passedhis knowledge, gift, and skill to his children. Mickey had a green thumb, and was truly gifted in growing and caring for his plants.
He loved his houseplants and working in the garden. He was known for his gentle spirit and kind heart, Mickey embraced everyone with acceptance and compassion. He cherished his large family and the abundant love that filled his life. His absence will be felt by many, but his love will remain always.
Mickey is preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters Linda Perkins and Mary Hinsman. Mickey is survived by his beloved wife, Edna Sisk of the family home, his sons: Jason Ayerst of Okanogan, Washington; Travis Sisk of Portland, Oregon; Mickey Sisk Jr. of Aberdeen; Cody (Philana Orcutt) Sisk of Aberdeen; Dylan Sisk; of Aberdeen, and Charles LR Sisk, currently stationed in the Navy; his daughters: Angela Brear of Shelton, Washington; NaTasha Sisk of Hoquiam, and Krystal Sisk of Aberdeen; brother, Charles Sisk of Aberdeen; 13 grandchildren: Mason, Issabella, Scarllette, Tristan, Kira, Corbin, Machaela; 1 great-grandchild; nieces: Jessica, Mellissa, Samantha, Mary Lynn, and Becky; nephews: Eric, Derek, and Tyler; father-in-law Ray; mother-in-law Allana; and brother-in-law, David.
In addition to his family, he leaves behind in family by love and choice: sons: Jarren, Roldans, John, Tevin, Kevin, Juan, Steven, and Aaron, Money Mike; daughters: Tiffany and Victoria; grandchildren: Zoii and Sophie, nieces: Sunshine, Patricia, and Bre; nephews: Cody, Bobby, David, Forrest, Solomon, and Jimmy; and his best friend of many years, Carlos, along with many extended relatives and close friends who held him close in their hearts.
A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced with all the details at a later date.
