LACEY — Errors doomed Aberdeen in a loss to Timberline in a non-league game at the Regional Athletic Center in Lacey on Friday.

A two-run home run by Josh Germeaux in the fourth inning put the Bobcats (1-2) up early, but the Blazers took advantage of two fielding errors and a balk to score five runs over the next three innings and take the victory.

In addition to the fielding errors, Aberdeen had a run waved off because the runner missed home plate.

“We are beating ourselves,” Aberdeen head coach Shon Schreiber said. “We have outhit everybody we played, we just aren’t scoring runs. We didn’t stay focused. All nine of us on the field have to show up.”

Aberdeen hosts Chehalis on Tuesday.
