Willapa Valley guard Matt Pearson put together an impressive senior campaign, earning the senior 2B Pacific League MVP honors as the league announced its all-league team for the 2018-19 campaign.

Pearson led the Vikings with 18.2 points per game and shot just over 50 percent from the field to help Willapa Valley to a 17-4 record this season.

The Vikings’ Logan Walker also received first-team honors after averaging 16.7 points a game.

For the girls team, Raymond freshman Kyra Gardner got her high school career off to an impressive start by earning first team all-league honors. Gardner was the go-to player for the Seagulls this season, leading Raymond in almost every major statistical category. The freshman averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and nearly seven steals per game this season.

Ocosta also appeared twice in the first team category with point guard Kjirstin Hopfer and center Kristi Raffelson recognized among the top players in the league. Hopfer and Raffelson were two of the leading scorers per game, averaging 16.6 and 12.8 points per game, respectively. Raffelson also grabbed more than 11 rebounds a game.
