Making up for lost time

Because my parents voted Democrat I did also and was active in the ’60s promoting their causes. I finally woke up a about 10 years ago and realized our state and national elected officials were not representing us. They had become professional politicians and were doing all they could to make us dependent on the government.

I know there are many others in the same position that I was when I woke up and started to pay attention so voted differently. Now I am trying to make up for allowing this to happen by working actively on Rob McKenna’s campaign for governor. I went to a small business roundtable discussion in Olympia recently and Rob is really interesting in what we want for small business stimulation. I have a lot to make up for so may work on other campaigns also.

It feels good to be active again and doing something I believe in.
