State Patrol investigators hope to speak with a potential witness in a 2010 stolen car case after his purchase receipts were found in the vehicle, vandalized and abandoned along Highway 12.

Detective Krista Hedstrom said the man’s photo is being released in hopes of getting new information on a cold case from March of 2010. A 1999 Saab was stolen from a woman’s driveway in Kent and later found heavily damaged near the Black River Bridge in Grays Harbor. The man may be a possible witness.

“We would like to at least talk to him,” Hedstrom said. “It’s just a cold case that we’re trying to take care of.”

Investigators found receipts in the car from purchases the man made at a Walmart store in Centralia. Anyone with information on the theft or the identity of the man in the photo should contact Hedstrom at (360) 473-0142.
