In 1960, he joined the United States Army. After his proud service to his country, he lived in Maryland and New York. In New York, he married his wife, Evelyn, had children and moved the family west. Ted had been an Aberdeen resident since 1970. He worked at Weyerhauser until he retired.

Ted was known for his positive attitude even when his health was poor. Once referred to as an “inspiration to the ill” by his doctor. He loved passing his time playing cards and cribbage. He was also good at teasing and playing with his great-grandchildren.

Ted is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, parents, and all of his siblings.
