William “Bill” Merrill passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Washington at the age of 70.

Bill was born on Dec. 21, 1948, in Hot Springs, Wyoming. After graduating from Weatherwax High School in 1967, Bill earned his BA in Business Administration in 1991 from Pacific Lutheran University. Bill worked as a Technology Manager for Rayonier, Lamb Grays Harbor, and most recently the Pacific Rim Log Scaling Bureau. His hobbies over the years included bowling, photography, travel, and his pets.

He is preceded in death by both his parents, Melvin and Mable and his brother, Gene.

Bill is survived by his brother, Stan; his sister, Eva Rose and his four sons, William Jr., Robert, Scott and Timothy. Bill is also survived by his grandchildren, Adam, Masten, Marissa, McKenzie, Riley, Luke, and Caylie.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam, Washington.
