Theresa Lynn ‘Teri’ Baker, 51, Cosmopolis resident and former In-Home Caregiver, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Wash.

Teri was born on Nov. 4, 1965, in Bainbridge, Md., to Robert Lee and Viola Myrtle (Eggert) Wright. Her father was in the military so she was constantly moving. Her mother passed away when she was 4 and was raised by her family, eventually landing in Port Orchard at the age of 9.

She graduated from South Kitsap high School in 1985 and then joined Job Corps and worked in the Sedro Wooley area for the next year. She then attended Skagit Valley Community College and received her CNA license in 1988. She worked at various care facilities.

On June 14, 1998, Teri married Timothy Loell Baker in Bremerton, Wash. He resides at the family home. They lived in Bremerton, Silverdale, Tacoma and then to Cosmopolis in 2013.

Teri worked for Young at Heart Adult Family Care in Puyallup form 2007 till moving in 2013. She was a member of the Grays Harbor Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She loved helping others, cooking and collecting Precious Moments’ and teapots. She had the ability to remember any recipe from memory.

Teri is survived by her husband of 19 years, Tim Baker of Cosmopolis; two daughters: Megan Baker of Tacoma and Olivia Baker of Cosmopolis; six brothers: Rob Wright of Spokane, James Phelps of Longview, Wash., Curt (Danielle) Greer of Oceanside, Calif., Preston (Doan) Greer of Port Orchard, Wash., Duane Greer of Alvin, Texas and James (Jenn) Wright of Bremerton, Wash.; step-mom, Shirley Powell of Tacoma; Father and Mother-In-Laws, Bob and Marla Baker of Allyn, Wash. She was preceded in death by a sister Josephine.

There will be a celebration of life for Teri on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. in the Grays Harbor Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3101 Cherry St, Hoquiam, Wash.
