Steven Ray “Spider” Proctor, 66, of Sequim, passed away on Jan. 27, 2018.

Steven Ray “Spider” Proctor, 66, of Sequim, passed away on Jan. 27, 2018. Steve was born in Aberdeen, Wash. on Nov. 19, 1951.

He was a longshoreman for 38 years. He retired from ILWU Local 24 in 2012. Steve retired from the board of directors for the Longshore Federal Credit Union in 2011 after serving 18 years in that position. He spent over a decade as a labor relations committee man and was committed and instrumental in that position.

Steve loved bowling, and was on several leagues where he made many friends. He also enjoyed hunting, gambling and quadding with his buddies. He looked forward to his Monday afternoon meetings with the boys at the VFW and Wednesday retiree breakfasts at Clark’s. Steve was a member of the Short Horns. He helped cut wood to assist PAWS and Relay for Life.

Steve is survived by his wife, Tracey Jackson and step-son Mike Jackson. He is preceded in death by his parents Willard and Stella, his sister Nancy and son Shaun Proctor.

Steve’s Celebration of Life will be held on March 10, at 3 p.m. at the 40 Et 8. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to PAWS.
