Sandra Jo Castro passed away peacefully July 11, 2018. Sandra was born in Omaha, Neb., and moved to Los Angeles almost immediately. She attended Leuzinger High School before her family moved to San Bernardino, where she graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1958. Sandra worked at Norton Air Force Base and The Sun Telegram before relocating to Westport, Wash., where she would spend 25 years living on the coast of her beloved Pacific Northwest. Sandra returned to the Inland Empire in 2004 to be closer to her family.

She enjoyed music, long coastal walks, gardening, fast cars and dancing to the beat of her own drum.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dustin Lee Castro (1991), sister Joyce Morlan and brothers Jack Lanphere and Phillip Lanphere. Sandra is survived by her son and his wife Kevin and Venisa Castro, son Lance Castro; grandchildren Brittany Houston (Brad), Danielle Castro, Bryce Castro and her great-grandchildren Mason, Jackson and Ellie.

Graveside service to be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton 92324.
