Ronald Eugene Marlow, age 77, a longtime resident of Hoquiam, died on Jan. 10, 2019, at his home in Hoquiam. Mr. Marlow was born on April 8, 1941, in Marshfield, Missouri, to Dennis and Marie (Hubbell) Marlow.

He moved with his family to Hoquiam at an early age. He attended Hoquiam schools and was a graduate of Hoquiam High School, Class of 1959. He then attended Grays Harbor College and the University of Washington.

Upon returning to the Harbor, he worked for Hays Dairy and Langendorf Bakery until taking over the Humdinger Restaurant in 1978.

Ron enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with family.

Surviving relatives include his beloved wife of 53 years, Barbara H. Marlow of the family home in Hoquiam; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Barbara Marlow of Flagstaff, Arizona; his daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Don Larson of Issaquah and four grandchildren, Courtney Marlow, Jeffrey Marlow, Kaitlin Cruzen and Haley Marlow. He is also survived by his extended family, the Humdinger Crew who he appreciated and cared about. Ron also had three nieces, one nephew and three sisters-in-law.

Two brothers, Jerry Marlow and Dave Marlow, and his parents, Dennis Marlow and Marie Marlow, preceded Ron in death.

At his request, there will be no formal service.

Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
