Reginald Thomas “Skip” Lutzvick II, was born Oct. 28, 1960, in Aberdeen, Wash., to Margaret (Sherman) Lutzvick and Reginald Thomas Lutzvick Sr.

Reginald Thomas “Skip” Lutzvick II, was born Oct. 28, 1960, in Aberdeen, Wash., to Margaret (Sherman) Lutzvick and Reginald Thomas Lutzvick Sr. Skip unexpectedly died on Dec. 27, 2017, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Wash. He was a member of St. Benedict’s Episcopal Church in Lacey, Wash., where he was baptized.

Skip spent his early childhood in Aberdeen and Hoquiam, where many relatives and friends remain. He later moved to Lakewood, Wash., where he graduated from Clover Park High school in 1979. He attended Washington State University, and spent 34 years working in manufacturing. In junior and senior high, Skip lettered in football every year. Later he volunteered for a no-kill shelter and for homeless dinners. He had a big heart for animals and the less fortunate.

Skip loved the Olympic Mountains and ocean beaches, where he spent time camping and hiking. He was a voracious reader, loved sports, cooking, world history, family history and was interested and well versed in dendrology. He was a past member of Grays Harbor Bowmen and Sons of The American Revolution.

He will be missed forever. Survivors include his mother, Margaret Lutzvick; special friend, Jane Gelnett; two half-brothers, Jeff and Brian Lutzvick; and many relatives. Passing before him were his father, Reginald Thomas Lutzvick Sr.; and grandparents, Henrietta and Thomas Lutzvick and Neva and Jim Sherman.
