Former Aberdeen resident, Matthew L. (Matt) Kaleb, age 61, passed away Oct. 26, 2017, at Multicare Regional Medical Center in Auburn, Wash. He was born in Aberdeen on March 16, 1956, to Matthew A. and Berdena J. (Mustard) Kaleb. He graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1974 and attended Grays Harbor College.

Matt had worked for Bridgewell Resources, McGregor Door & Hardware, Total Door Supply and Henry Bacon. He was a member of the Croation Fraternal Union.

Matt loved softball!! (Slo Pitch) and sports of all kinds.

Matt is survived by his longtime girlfriend/fiance Rachel Iverson of Kent, Wash.; sisters Laura (Brien) Patton and Theresa (Steve) Ancich; nephew Tony (Kristie) Kaleb and nieces Andrea and Pamela Ancich. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Albert Dent.

A memorial will be held at 11 a.m., Nov. 4, 2017, at the Cosmopolis Lions. Inurnment will take place at Fern Hill Cemetery.
