Lifelong Grays Harbor resident Mary Ellen (Conway) Pellervo, 89, passed away peacefully at Grays Harbor Health and Rehab on Friday, Aug. 19, 2016 with her family at her bedside.

Mary was born Dec. 31, 1926 in Aberdeen, Wash. to John and Emma (Beebe) Conway. She was raised in Wishkah and graduated from Wishkah Valley High School.

Before she retired Mary had worked as a CNA. She loved taking care of her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her loving family, sons Herb and Lonnie (Deanna) Courts and daughter Debbie (Courts) Simpson all of Hoquiam; sisters, Beebe Scott and Patsy (Dennis) Rose both of Aberdeen; brothers Robert (Judy) of Oregon, Ron (Lucille) Conway of Hoquiam; Lorn (Loretta) Conway and James Conway of Aberdeen; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Bill Courts, brother Floyd Conway and grandson Christopher Courts.

A celebration of life and potluck will take place from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Hoquiam Elks.
