Marsha Ann Folden, 69 years of age and an Ocean Shores, Wash. resident for the past several years, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center in Montesano, Wash.

Marsha Ann Folden, 69 years of age and an Ocean Shores, Wash., resident for the past several years, died on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center in Montesano, Wash. She was born on March 20, 1948, in Anaheim, Calif., to Dale and Billie (Dutton) Jones.

Marsha was married to John M. Folden on June 25, 2004, in Aberdeen, Wash., and they have resided in Ocean Shores, Wash., for the past seven years.

She had been a homemaker for most of her life but had worked at Sears for a short time.

They were active volunteers at the Hoquiam Elks Lodge #1082 and they traveled to Elks functions all through the state as well as to the national conventions in the mid-west.

Marsha enjoyed working with flowers, but most of all with floral arrangements. Her travels had taken her to various parts of the west coast, the mid-west and to Las Vegas where she enjoyed the shows.

She attended the Portland Great Baptist Church and Saron Lutheran Church in Hoquiam.

Marsha is survived by her husband, John of the family home in Ocean Shores; her son, Arthur of Olympia; her brother and his wife, Stephen and Ann Jones of Oregon City; her brother-in-law and his wife, William “Bill” and Marlene Messmer of Wrangell, Alaska; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She will also be remember by her special friends, Barbara Hitt of Escondido, Calif., Kathy Brown of Portland, and Nickol and Dale Watson of Molalla, Ore.

A special thank you goes to the whole staff at the Grays Harbor Community Hospital and the Montesano Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care and comfort that Marsha received from them.

A nicheside service of inurnment will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 19, 2017, at the Sunset Memorial Park Garden Mausoleum Niche in Hoquiam, Wash., with Rev. Bob Holm officiating.
