Margaret Ann Roman, age 74, a resident of Hoquiam, died on Monday, July 30, 2018, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. Mrs. Roman was born on April 16, 1944, in Aberdeen to Ralph and Ida (Kramzer) Vandewall. In 1962, she graduated from Elma High School.

On June 4, 1962, she and Charles Henry Roman, Jr. were married in Aberdeen. The couple made their home in Cosmopolis, Aberdeen, Hoquiam and Montesano. In addition to raising her family, she helped her husband clean busses at Camp Grisdale. She had helped with cooking at Evergreen Counseling, enjoyed playing Bingo, but most of all, loved spending time with her family.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Charles Roman, III and Gregory Roman, both of Aberdeen; three grandchildren, Kristopher LeCount, Daniel Roman and Sandra Roman; two sisters, Lois Quorp and Helen Roman both of Hoquiam and three brothers, Henry Otterstein of Yakima, Bruce Vandewall of Wishkah and Edward Vandewall of Raymond.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 18, 2018, at the Econolodge Banquet Room, 910 Simpson Avenue, Hoquiam, Wash. A potluck will follow.

Her urn will be interred with her husband at Tahoma National Cemetery at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary of Hoquiam.
