Joanne D. Bresee (Jones) died peacefully at home in Ocean Park, Wash. on Oct. 30, 2017. She was 78.

Born on May 8, 1939, to George and Iyone Jones. Joanne graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1957. She worked in the accounting office for Kress and in the drug store in Westport, Wash. Joanne married Larry F. Bresee in 1980, living in Aberdeen until Larry retired and they moved to Ocean Park, Wash.

Joanne was the most loving wife, mother and friend. She had two children from her previous marriage when she married Larry, and then gained two more that she loved as her own. She was fantastic cook and very gifted artistically, loving to paint, crochet, knit and sew. She also loved playing bingo and going to the casino with friends or family. Joanne had the kindest heart and those who knew her will miss her constant humming. Even as she was preparing to go Home she was cheerful and would hum joyfully. Her laughter and love will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Bresee, her son Greg Wambolt, daughter Dana Wambolt, step-daughter Jeanette Mainord (Jon), sister Jodee Walczyk (Joe), and brother Jack Jones, as well as four grandsons, two granddaughters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jim Jones, sister Joyce Jones, her step-son Tom Bresee and ex-husband Phil Wambolt.

As per her wishes there are no services. Donations can be made in her name to the Ocean Park, Pacific County Emergency Services.
