James Monroe Goodman passed away Sunday April 21, 2019, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital with family and friends at his side. He was 85 years old.

James was born September 3, 1933, in Wardell, Missouri, to Ruth and Eulas Goodman. He moved to Aberdeen in 1960.

He was employed by various logging companies including Weyerhaeuser, Mayer Bros., Don Bell and Jim House.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of 63 years, his six children, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by family in Missouri and Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas (Duke) Edward Goodman.
