Aberdeen native and resident of Leisure Manor, affectionately known as ‘Fritz’ passed away suddenly on Sept. 14, 2016. He was 76.

Aberdeen native and resident of Leisure Manor, affectionately known as ‘Fritz’ passed away suddenly on Sept. 14, 2016. He was 76.

A man of magnetism, known for his unfailing friendliness coupled with humor is survived by his three sons; Tom, Brett, and Jonathan, daughter Jennifer Jensen, sisters Sharon Turner and Katherine Olson, and brothers Jon and Bill.

After graduating from Weatherwax in 1957, Fritz attended the University of Washington and was affiliated with Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.

He later served in the Army at Fort Ord, Calif.

He relocated to La Jolla to be near his grandfather, Walter Fovargue, a noted golfer and golf course architect. His real estate career in San Diego and Las Vegas spanned many years.

He met his wife Julie in San Diego, where they raised their four children. He was a loving father and grandfather, his big heart was felt and cherished by everyone.

He retired to his hometown in 2000, enjoying golf, college and pro football, and especially spending time with his many adoring friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m. at the Grays Harbor Country Club.
