Gerald L. (Jerry) Johnson passed away Feb. 3, 2017. He was born in Aberdeen, Wash., on Feb. 18, 1938, to parents Stanley Y.B. Johnson and Verna V. (Van Syckle) Johnson.

Jerry graduated from Weatherwax High School in 1956, Grays Harbor College and the University of Washington. Jerry’s first career job was with Flying Tiger Line in San Francisco, Calif., then Trans International Airline, then at Alaska Airlines as Director of Cargo and Charters in Seattle for 28 years. He loved flying and everything about it. He was an avid sports fan and loved golfing with his friends.

He is survived by his wife Jeanette (Krogstadt) Johnson and children: son, Gordon Johnson, wife Gretchen Johnson and daughter Jodi (Johnson) Reimer, husband David Reimer, daughter Gina Johnson and grandchildren: Heidi (Reimer) Muir, husband Malcolm Muir, Jillian Johnson and Kellen Reimer. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (Johnson) McLaird and husband George McLaird. He was preceded in death by his brother, Merryl Johnson.

We will celebrate his life Saturday, April 29, 1:30 p.m., at Crossroads Bible Church, 15815 S.E. 37th ST, Bellevue, Wash.
